We started off the day with a quick review of the squat and the med ball clean.  Our new skill for the evening was the shoulder press.  Although the shoulder press may seem like a fairly simple movement it is very important that we have proper form like keeping the abs engaged and keeping the elbows slightly in front of the bar.  Getting these basics down now will really help for when we transfer to the push press and push jerk.

WOD:

3 rounds of

Run 400m (ish)

20 Kettlebell Swings

10 Shoulder Press

A reminder that the next class is Friday morning bright and early at 6am.  The doors should be open around 5:50.  If your not used to working out in the morning you should come try it.  It is a whole different experience.  Constantly varied applies to training times as well…
